Privacy Policy

Colorlotl · last updated September 20, 2026

Colorlotl does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

What stays on the device

Colorlotl saves a few things on the phone or tablet it is installed on: which shapes have been colored, which axolotl friends have been found, how the times tables practice is going, and whether sound and vibration are switched on. None of it ever leaves the device. It is not sent to us, and it is not sent to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

What we never do

Photos

When a grown-up chooses "Save to Photos" on a finished picture, iOS asks permission to add that one picture to the photo library. Colorlotl can only add a picture. It cannot see, read, or open any of the photos already on the device, and it never uploads anything.

Children

Colorlotl is made for children and follows the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing about a child for us to store, use, or disclose. Anything that leaves the app, such as rating it on the App Store, sits behind a check that asks an adult to read and type a written number.

The internet

Colorlotl works with no internet connection. The app makes no network requests of its own.

Crash reports

If you have turned on sharing app analytics with developers in your iOS settings, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports. Those come from Apple, contain no information that identifies you or your child, and are used only to fix the crash.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. A change that affects how information is handled will also come with an app update that says so.
